Charging networks
Grouping the map by operator shows what no country page can. One network reaches eight countries and holds most of the fast charging on the continent. Almost everyone else runs a single country's worth, and most of them are not companies at all: they are navigation authorities, municipalities and public registers, supplying their own quays because somebody had to.
Frequently asked questions
Where can I charge an electric boat?
Most electric boats charge overnight at their home berth from ordinary marina shore power (CEE 16 A or 32 A sockets). For faster stops, dedicated marine DC fast chargers from networks like Aqua superPower and Plug deliver 25 to 150 kW at a growing number of marinas, shown in dark blue on this map.
How long does charging take?
On a 3.7 kW shore-power socket, a 60 kWh boat battery needs roughly 16 hours. A 22 kW AC pillar cuts that to about 3 hours, and a 150 kW DC fast charger can reach 80 percent in well under an hour. Our charging guide has computed charge times for real boats.
What connectors do electric boats use?
Three families: CEE shore-power sockets (16, 32 or 63 A) found at nearly every marina, Type 2 AC connectors shared with electric cars, and CCS DC connectors for fast charging. Each station page lists exactly which connectors are installed.
Can I charge an electric boat at a car charging station?
Yes, if the boat is on a trailer: any public car charger with a matching connector works. From the water it is rarely possible, because car chargers stand in parking areas out of cable reach. Every station on this map is documented as reachable from the water, whether from a berth, a pontoon or a quay.
Is this map complete and live?
Every station was verified by hand against public sources, and each page shows its verification date. The map does not yet show live availability; we are working with network operators to connect their feeds. If a charger is missing, tell us and we will verify and add it.
