High-performance electric rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) for sport, rescue, and professional applications.
An electric RIB (rigid inflatable boat) combines a rigid hull, usually composite or aluminium, with an inflatable buoyancy collar and electric propulsion. RIBs are prized for their stability in chop, low draft, and high load capacity relative to their length. Electrifying them removes the noise, vibration, and exhaust of an outboard, which makes a meaningful difference in roles where the boat is operating near people: dive support, swimmer rescue, harbour patrol, marina shuttles, and silent professional research.
Range is typically the trade-off versus a petrol outboard, but most professional RIB use is short-trip and dock-based, where battery range is rarely the bottleneck. For pleasure use, electric RIBs sit at the premium end of the market. For commercial operators, the maintenance reduction (no oil changes, no fuel system, fewer wear parts) often justifies the price difference over a 3 to 5 year ownership horizon.
