One boat, once a year.
L'Atelier du Métal is a French artisan workshop from the Landes region with over 17 years crafting custom metal structures. Creators of the Solann electric catamaran, they build just one vessel per year, fully bespoke, with electric propulsion and solar energy production.
Our mission
L'Atelier du Métal has handcrafted metal structures in the Landes region of France since 2008, channelling that craft into a single electric catamaran a year: Solann. Each hull is fully bespoke, built in 5083 H111 marine-grade aluminium from the first weld to launch, with the owner involved in every design choice. Twin electric motors and integrated solar power deliver silent daily cruising, while hybrid generators extend range to transatlantic distances when the passage demands it.
Why Solann
Interior layout, finishes, equipment and colours are defined together with the owner from the first design meeting. No two Solanns are the same.
Twin 50 kW electric motors and 4 kWp of integrated solar deliver up to 77 nautical miles of zero-emission cruising on a single charge. Solar alone can fully recharge the battery pack in about four days.
Twin generators switch Solann to hybrid mode for passages, extending range to 1,750 nautical miles at 6 knots. Category A certified for 6 persons, built to go transatlantic without hesitation.
