Mercury Marine is a division of Brunswick Corporation with world headquarters in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, building marine propulsion since 1939 and running nine manufacturing plants worldwide. Its electric range is Avator, a Mercury sub-brand of low-voltage 48 V outboards built around a transverse flux motor and lithium-ion batteries developed with Mastervolt, spanning five models from the 750 W tiller-handle 7.5e to the 11,000 W 110e. Mercury rates every Avator in watts measured at the prop shaft rather than in horsepower, and states in its own literature that the model designations are not horsepower figures.
