Arc is a Los Angeles boatbuilder started in 2021 by engineers who came out of Rivian, SpaceX and Tesla, with Mitch Lee as chief executive and Ryan Cook as chief technology officer. Its production model is the Arc Sport, a 23 foot electric wake boat, and the company has taken a 150,000 square foot factory in Los Angeles to build it. The specification reads like an automotive one because it is: a 226 kWh battery pack designed and assembled in-house, a motor rated around 570 hp, and a claimed five to six hours of use between charges. Wakesports are a deliberate choice of first market rather than an accident. A wake boat spends its day at low speed dragging a ballasted hull to shape a wave, it never travels far from the dock, and its owners are used to paying a premium, which makes it one of the few planing-boat uses where a large battery is a workable answer today. In March 2026 Arc raised a further 50 million dollars and said it would extend the same drivetrain into commercial and defence craft. Arc does not sell into Europe at present, so it belongs in the catalog as a reference point on battery packaging and in-house pack design rather than as a purchasable boat.
