Scandinavian design, cork decking and a styrene-free composite hull complete a quiet and connected electric boating experience without exhaust emissions during use.
What sets it apart
The X Shore Eelex 8000 brings together electric performance, adaptable deck space, connected technology and distinctive Scandinavian design in an eight-metre day cruiser. Inspired by the strength and streamlined form of the electric eel, it is designed for everything from social cruising and sunbathing to fishing, diving and watersports.
A 170 kW electric drivetrain and dual 63 kWh batteries deliver a combined capacity of 126 kWh, a cruising speed of 20 knots and a top speed of 30 knots. At five knots, the Eelex 8000 offers up to 100 nautical miles of range, while DC fast charging can replenish the battery from 20% to 80% in approximately one hour.
The spacious deck can be adapted into more than 15 layouts, allowing owners to configure the boat for social seating, dining, sunbathing, fishing, diving or other activities. Interchangeable modules help the same boat move easily between relaxed family cruising and more active days on the water.
A central 24-inch waterproof touchscreen combines Garmin navigation with energy and route planning, weather information, entertainment and real-time performance data. Boat and battery status can also be accessed through the X Shore mobile app, while over-the-air updates keep the onboard system current. An optional Captain’s Watch adds remote-key, navigation and safety functions.
The Eelex 8000’s clean, minimalist silhouette draws inspiration from the South American electric eel. Its solid bow and sleek, streamlined body create a recognisable profile designed to combine stability, efficiency and a strong visual identity on the water.
Cork decking replaces conventional teak across key surfaces, providing grip, insulation and comfort underfoot. The sandwich-construction hull combines glass and carbon fibre and is produced using a styrene-free pre-preg process that requires significantly less plastic than conventional composite construction. Fully electric propulsion also removes exhaust emissions during use and greatly reduces engine noise and vibration.
Sustainability
Quiet performance with a lower impact. The Eelex 8000 combines fully electric propulsion with cork decking and a styrene-free composite hull, delivering powerful boating without exhaust emissions during use and with less disturbance to its surroundings.
