Overview
Elvene AMY is a 6.5-metre solar-electric day boat designed and built in Finland for private leisure, rental and charter fleets, boat-sharing operations and tender use. Its open-bow design, sundeck and modular layout create a versatile platform for relaxed day trips, coastal exploration and practical commercial operations. Owners can choose between a side or centre console to adapt the deck to their preferred way of boating.
In its high-performance configuration, AMY is powered by a 50 kW Molabo ARIES electric outboard operating on a touch-safe 48-volt system. Combined with a LiFePO₄ battery system and an integrated 800–1,300 Wp solar roof, it can reach speeds of up to 30 knots. The configuration presented at Nice Boating Tomorrow featured a 45 kWh battery and delivered an estimated range of approximately 35 nautical miles at 20 knots, while battery capacities of up to 66 kWh are available depending on the chosen setup.
At lower speeds, AMY can enter “solar sailing” mode, using the energy generated by its solar panels to cruise at up to approximately 5 knots with effectively unlimited range in suitable sunlight. This reduces dependence on shore-based charging and makes the boat particularly attractive for remote locations, rental operations and users who want to spend more time on the water with fewer charging stops.
Natural cork flooring, an integrated infotainment system, a chartplotter with echo sounder, Bluetooth audio and wireless phone charging are included, while options such as a refrigerator, canopy, searchlight and freshwater shower allow the boat to be further adapted to recreational or professional use.
AMY is designed for boaters who want the silence, simplicity and low operating requirements of electric propulsion without giving up speed or everyday versatility. It brings together fast performance, practical deck space and genuine energy independence in an accessible, easy-to-use day boat.
